The Sacramento Police Department, in conjunction with the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, disrupted a sideshow involving approximately 100 cars on Saturday afternoon. The agencies’ response resulted in five tows, 12 citations, four seized guns, and five arrests.
The Sacramento Police Department and County Sheriff’s Office have adopted a zero-tolerance policy towards these illegal events and will continue to collaborate for maximum enforcement.
Authorities have noted an uptick in sideshow activity across the Sacramento region recently. They emphasized that sideshows pose a significant danger to community members and often lead to vandalism and substantial property damage.
Photos shared on social media offered glimpses of the operation, showing the seized guns and towed vehicles, including a black Mustang. Another black sedan was also pictured being impounded.
The department issued a reminder to the public, stating that participation in sideshow events could lead to vehicle impoundment and penalties extending to fines and even arrest. This action underlines ongoing efforts by law enforcement to maintain public safety and order, reminding individuals to respect laws and regulations to help ensure community well-being.
