San Jose Community Mourns Boy and Great-Grandmother Murdered in Their Home

The tragic death of 6-year-old Jordan Cam Walker and his great-grandmother, found stabbed to death in their San Jose apartment, has sent shockwaves through their close-knit family and community. The tragedy, discovered on August 4, has left “four generations grieving this tragic loss,” according to Jordan’s grandfather, Morian Walker.

In his last FaceTime call with his grandson, Walker recalls the boy’s excitement about their upcoming swimming outing. Now, the family is mourning the loss of a life taken too soon at a funeral service held at Emmanuel Baptist Church in San Jose.

Jordan admired his athletic parents, both Division-1 college sports players, and looked forward to starting his own sports training. His death has left his parents grappling with intense grief and agony.

The community’s prayers and messages have provided some solace to the grieving family. A GoFundMe page has been set up to assist with funeral costs and mental health services for Jordan’s parents.

San Jose police are yet to release any updates on the double homicide investigation, and it remains unclear if any arrests have been made. Jordan’s grandfather remains hopeful that justice will be served.

While the investigation continues “around-the-clock,” the name of Jordan’s great-grandmother has not been released by law enforcement officials.
