Santa Rosa High School Student Stabbed: A Shocking Incident
In a shocking incident at Santa Rosa High School, a student was stabbed during a fight that occurred on campus on Wednesday morning. Santa Rosa High School Principal Dr. Mark Ryan sent a letter to parents providing details of the incident that took place before the start of classes.
According to the letter, two students were engaged in a physical altercation near the football and baseball fields. Unfortunately, one of the students involved had a large kitchen knife concealed in his waistband. During the fight, this student used the knife to stab the other student multiple times in the side and back.
The school surveillance cameras captured the student carrying the knife leaving the campus. However, as of Wednesday afternoon, the student has not been located. The victim, upon being stabbed, immediately contacted a family member who rushed him to the hospital. Thankfully, the injuries sustained by the victim are reported to be non-life-threatening.
Upon notification from the parent of the injured student, school staff were made aware of the incident approximately 30 minutes after it occurred. The school was not placed under lockdown as the student with the knife had already left the campus.
In response to this disturbing incident, the Santa Rosa Police Department is actively investigating the stabbing with the assistance of the school staff and the Santa Rosa City High School District. It is crucial for law enforcement to swiftly identify and apprehend the student responsible for this act of violence.
The safety and well-being of students should always be a top priority in any educational institution.
