Six Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision near Sepulveda Basin

In an unfortunate incident, six people, including two children, were injured in a multi-vehicle crash near the Sepulveda Basin Recreation Area on Saturday morning. The collision took place in the 16500 block of West Victory Boulevard around 10:15 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Among the victims, one was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition, three were in “fair to serious” condition, and two sustained minor injuries. The victims, comprising two men, two women, and two children, have not been identified. Notably, five of the victims were in the same vehicle.

Video footage from the scene shows a severely damaged dark-colored SUV and a wrecked gray two-door coupe, with authorities setting up a perimeter and blocking off the area.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation. This unfortunate incident underscores the importance of stringent road safety measures to prevent such devastating accidents.
