A small plane crashed and caught fire near Van Nuys Airport on Wednesday morning. The crash was reported at 10:37 a.m., and soon after, responders arrived at the scene in the 16300 block of Waterman Drive and managed to extinguish the flames, as per the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Footage shared on the Citizen app depicted a dark plume of smoke emanating from the crash site. Sky5’s aerial footage showed substantial amounts of fire retardant surrounding the charred aircraft.
As of now, no injuries have been reported in connection with the crash.
