Suspect Evading Arrest Causes Crash in San Francisco

In an incident on Thursday in San Francisco’s Sunset District, a person evading arrest crashed their vehicle into another car, according to the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD).

SFPD officers, who were on the lookout for suspects involved in vehicle burglaries and thefts in the area of 19th Ave. and Judah St., spotted and arrested two suspects around 6:22 p.m. However, a third suspect attempted to flee in a vehicle, which led to the crash.

Despite the collision, the suspect managed to escape, while the driver of the other vehicle emerged unscathed. The crash resulted in traffic disruptions in the area of 19th and Judah, forcing Muni buses to be rerouted.

SFPD is urging anyone with information about the third suspect to come forward. This incident highlights the potential risks and consequences of evading law enforcement and the importance of public cooperation in crime investigations.
