A driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI) after a crash on Tuesday night on the 1300 block of Kains Avenue in San Bruno. The San Bruno Police Department (SBPD) reported that the driver, who was alone in the vehicle, crashed into three parked cars and exhibited signs of alcohol intoxication.
A local resident, who lives one block away from the scene of the crash, stated that she heard the incident occur from her home and was relieved to hear the police respond to the scene within two minutes.
Earlier on Tuesday night, police had conducted a traffic stop on the same driver due to erratic driving. However, it is not clear if the driver showed signs of intoxication during this initial traffic stop.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the crash. The police have not released the identity of the driver. Despite the absence of injuries, this incident serves as a stark reminder of the potential devastating consequences of driving under the influence.
