Three Dead, Two Critically Injured in South Los Angeles Car Crash

A car crash in South Los Angeles has claimed the lives of three people and critically injured two others early on Saturday morning.

Preliminary reports from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) indicate that the collision took place just before 5:30 a.m. in the Westmont neighborhood of L.A., near the intersection of Vermont Avenue and Century Boulevard.

Officers who responded to the scene discovered several bodies that had been ejected from their vehicles lying in the street.

The three deceased victims have not yet been identified and have been described only as three women.

Police interviewed witnesses at the scene around 7 a.m. on Saturday morning, and the area continues to be cordoned off while an investigation is ongoing.
