Tragic Hit-and-Run Incident in Harbor Gateway: A Call for Justice As personal injury bloggers, we are deeply saddened by the news of a fatal hit-and-run incident in the Harbor Gateway area of Los Angeles. A male pedestrian lost his life after being struck by two separate vehicles, moments apart, on Normandie Avenue. Our hearts go out to the victim and his loved ones during this difficult time. According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), the first collision occurred a few minutes after 9:30 p.m. The victim was in the roadway of Normandie Avenue, north of Knox Street, when he was struck by a vehicle that callously fled the scene without rendering aid. Shockingly, just two minutes later, another vehicle struck the man again before also fleeing the scene. Tragically, the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Hit-and-run incidents are not only illegal but also demonstrate a profound lack of regard for human life. It is deeply troubling to witness such callousness and disregard for basic human decency. We stand with the LAPD in their efforts to bring those responsible for this senseless tragedy to justice. In an effort to incentivize the public to come forward with any information that may help identify the hit-and-run drivers, a reward of up to $50,000 has been offered. We implore anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information to contact Detective Flannery at 323-421-2561 during business hours. For those with information outside of business hours or on weekends, please reach out to 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (877-527-3247). If you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or visit lacrimestoppers.org. Hit-and-run incidents have devastating consequences, not only for the victims and their families but also for our entire community. It is crucial that we all play our part in ensuring road safety and holding accountable those who choose to flee from their responsibilities. By coming forward with any information, we can help provide closure to the victim’s family and contribute to a safer environment for all. As personal injury bloggers, we encourage everyone to prioritize safety on the roads. It is our shared responsibility to drive with caution, remain vigilant, and always be prepared to render aid in the event of an accident. Let us come together as a community to support one another and prevent such tragedies from occurring in the future.
