Redondo Beach, Structure Fire, Firefighters' Response

Two-Alarm Structure Fire Extinguished in Redondo Beach

Firefighters battled and successfully extinguished a two-alarm structure fire that broke out in a Redondo Beach neighborhood on Tuesday. The cause of the fire is currently unclear.

Crews from the Redondo Beach Fire Department, along with officers from the Redondo Beach Police Department, responded to the scene located on Kingsdale Avenue, south of Artesia Boulevard.

Due to power lines being down and several adjacent streets being blocked, local authorities advised those in the area to use alternate routes.

Videos posted on the Citizen App showed heavy black smoke and flames emanating from the structure. Aerial footage demonstrated the extent of the fire, with a charred and burnt-out structure visible as firefighters continued to douse it and adjacent buildings with water.

The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing. Fortunately, there have been no reported injuries thus far.

This incident serves as a reminder of the quick and effective response required during such emergencies and the role of community cooperation in ensuring safety.
