A woman suspected of engaging in a violent rampage in downtown Los Angeles was taken into custody on Thursday night.
The incident took place around 10:15 p.m. in the 200 block of South Broadway. Witnesses reported that the woman forcibly opened the back door of an apartment building and began setting paper on fire in the lobby.
The woman is also alleged to have attacked an apartment manager with a fire extinguisher, sprayed tenants, and shattered a glass front door. At least one person was reportedly injured during the incident.
Law enforcement has yet to confirm the eyewitness accounts, but video footage shows officers pursuing a woman, who still had the fire extinguisher in her possession, down the street.
The woman, who has not yet been identified, was eventually apprehended. Additional information about the suspect and the circumstances prompting the incident has not been made available at this time.
