Woman with Child in Car Arrested for Brandishing Gun in Parking Dispute

A woman was arrested on Sunday in Pacifica after allegedly brandishing a loaded handgun during a parking dispute, with a child present in her car at the time, claims the Pacifica Police Department.

Officers responded to a reported parking dispute involving a firearm at around 2:41 p.m. on Sunday in the Linda Mar parking lot of 495 Linda Mar Boulevard.

When an officer arrived on the scene and spoke with the person who had reported the incident, a description of the suspect and involved vehicle was provided. After conducting an extensive area search, officers located the suspect vehicle parked on the 100 block of Rockaway Beach Avenue.

The suspect, identified as 36-year-old Christina Villalobos of Pittsburg, was detained without incident.

Further investigation revealed that Villalobos allegedly threatened three people with a loaded handgun during the parking dispute. Notably, a child was in the vehicle with her at the time.

Officers established probable cause and arrested Villalobos on charges of Assault with Firearm on Person — a felony, Child Endangerment — a felony, and Exhibit Deadly Weapon — a misdemeanor. Villalobos was subsequently booked into the San Mateo County Jail.

Incidents like this emphasize the distressing potential risks that can arise even in everyday situations, such as parking disputes, when firearms are involved, and the profound implications when minors are caught in such circumstances.
