Woman’s Body Discovered at Golden Gate Park

A disturbing discovery was made in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, when the body of a woman was found around 7 p.m. on Sunday. According to the San Francisco Police Department and local news source The San Francisco Standard, the woman’s body was found inside a duffel bag.

The body was discovered by a passerby north of Stow Lake, coincidentally while the Outside Lands festival was ongoing nearby. The San Francisco Police Department promptly set up a perimeter to prevent festival-goers from interfering with the subsequent investigation.

A coroner’s van arrived at the park just after 10 p.m., coinciding with crowds leaving the festival. As of now, the cause of the woman’s death is under investigation.
