A fatal collision occurred on the 405 Freeway in the Lennox area of Los Angeles County early Monday morning, shutting down several lanes and prompting an investigation.
A vehicle reportedly struck a pedestrian around 3:45 a.m. on the northbound side of the freeway at Lennox Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The victim, who remains unidentified, is believed to have been hit by multiple vehicles and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A SigAlert was issued due to the closure of four lanes on the northbound side of the freeway for the ongoing investigation. As of 5:45 a.m., only the two right lanes remained closed.
