Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Car in San Jose

A fatal incident occurred on Saturday night in San Jose when a pedestrian was struck by a car. The crash took place around 9:45 p.m. in the area of Capitol Expressway and Monterey Road.

The pedestrian, a woman, was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, which she unfortunately could not survive. Following the incident, police closed the westbound lanes of Capitol Expressway from Seven Trees Boulevard to Snell Avenue for several hours.

This tragic incident serves as San Jose’s 24th fatal collision and 25th traffic death of the year. It underscores the critical importance of road safety measures for both motorists and pedestrians.
